A spin-crossover complex based on a 2,6-bis(pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (1-bpp) ligand functionalized with a carboxylate group

Combining Fe(ii) with the carboxylate-functionalized 2,6-bis(pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (bppCOOH) ligand results in the spin-crossover compound [Fe(bppCOOH)2](ClO4)2 which shows an abrupt spin transition with a T1/2 of ca. 380 K and a TLIESST of 60 K due to the presence of a hydrogen-bonded linear network of complexes.

Assessment of the Current for a Non-Linear Power Inductor Including Temperature in DC-DC Converters

A method for estimating the current flowing through a non-linear power inductor operating in a DC/DC converter is proposed. The knowledge of such current, that cannot be calculated in closed form as for the linear inductor, is crucial for the design of the converter. The proposed method is based on a third-order polynomial model of the inductor, already developed by the authors; it is exploited to solve the differential equation of the inductor and to implement a flux model in a circuit simulator. Comparing local structures of spatio-temporal point processes on linear networks

We employ the Local Indicators of Spatio-Temporal Association (LISTA) functions on linear networks to build a statistical test for local second-order structure. This allows to identify differences in the spatio-temporal clustering behaviour of two point patterns, a point pattern of interest and a background one, both occurring on the same linear network. We illustrate the proposed methodology analysing a traffic-related problem.

Some properties and applications of local second-order characteristics for spatio-temporal point processes on networks

Point processes on linear networks are increasingly being considered to analyse events occurring on particular network-based structures. In this work, we extend Local Indicators of Spatio-Temporal Association (LISTA) functions to the non-Euclidean space of linear networks, allowing to obtain information on how events relate to nearby events. In particular, we propose the local version of two inhomogeneous second-order statistics for spatio-temporal point processes on linear networks, the K- and the pair correlation functions. Nash Equilibrium in a Road Network with Many Groups of Users

In this chapter concentrates on the relationships between individual and group behaviour of drivers in a road network. Such relationships are established by comparing the optimal routing of drivers (system optimum of Wardrop), the competitive drivers’ groups routing (Nash equilibrium), and the selfish drivers routing (user equilibrium of Wardrop). Thus, the boundary conditions for traffic assignment in a road network were recently obtained for the first time. Experimental nonlinear electrical reaction-diffusion lattice

International audience; A nonlinear electrical reaction-diffusion lattice modelling the Nagumo equation is presented. It is shown that this system supports front propagation with a given velocity. This propagation is observed experimentally using a video acquisition system, and the measured velocity of the front is in perfect agreement with the theoretical prediction.
